Performance Mk II Carbon Mast
Three years of structural development went into the Performance Mk II Carbon Mast — the core performance mast of Armstrong's range and the go-to for riders who want the most direct feel without compromise. A thinner 13.8 mm profile gains 20% more torsional and 30% more bending stiffness, for a more direct, predictable connection between rider and foil across winging, prone, downwind, pump, and kite foiling.

Design & construction
Refined through three years of structural optimization and on-water testing, the Performance Mk II Carbon Mast gains 20% in torsional stiffness and 30% in bending stiffness while slimming to a 13.8 mm profile. A blend of high and very high modulus carbon delivers targeted stiffness with minimal weight, and the updated mast top and fuselage connections remove material where it is not needed while adding strength where loads are highest — improving load transfer, durability, and ride connection. The slimmer profile reduces drag for better glide and acceleration across the entire speed range, and the mast integrates seamlessly with Armstrong's A+ System.
Sizes & rake
Rake angles are tuned by mast length, reducing the need for additional tuning:
- 725 mm — 0.5-degree rake for early lift and balance
- 795 mm — 0.5-degree rake for early lift and balance
- 865 mm — 1-degree rake for high-speed stability
- 935 mm — 1-degree rake for high-speed stability
Ride feel
The high-stiffness profile translates rider input instantly into foil response: turns feel sharper, lines feel cleaner, and stability improves as speed increases. In variable conditions such as chop, wind swell, or current, the added rigidity keeps the ride composed and controlled.
Who it's for
Winging, prone, downwind, pump foiling, and kite foiling — riders seeking the most direct connection to their foil, whether pushing progression or refining technique in powered and technical conditions.
