Performance Mk II Carbon Mast
Three years of structural work sit in this section. It is 13.8 mm thick — thinner than the Mk II's 15.8 mm — and still gains 20% in torsional and 30% in bending stiffness. Thinner and stiffer at the same time is the whole point: less drag, and your input reaches the front wing without a delay. Rake is set per length, so there is nothing left to tune.

A blend of high and very high modulus carbon puts stiffness exactly where the loads are and leaves weight out everywhere else. The mast top and fuselage connections were recut on the same principle — material removed where it did nothing, added where the loads peak — which improves load transfer and durability. The slimmer 13.8 mm profile lowers drag across the whole speed range, and the mast drops into Armstrong's A+ System.
Lengths and rake
Rake is tuned by length, which takes the guesswork out of setup:
- 725 mm — 0.5-degree rake, for early lift and balance
- 795 mm — 0.5-degree rake, for early lift and balance
- 865 mm — 1-degree rake, for high-speed stability
- 935 mm — 1-degree rake, for high-speed stability
Ride feel
Stiffness this high turns input into response with nothing in between. Turns come out sharper, lines hold cleaner, and stability improves as the speed goes up. In chop, wind swell or current the extra rigidity is what keeps the ride composed.
Built for
Winging, prone, downwind, pump foiling and kite foiling — powered and technical conditions, where a direct connection to the foil is worth more than a forgiving one.
