Downwind Mk III Ocean
Long open-ocean swell, the kind you have to hunt down. The Ocean takes over from the Downwind Performance board: same job, displacement hull instead of a planing one, and less length for the same volume. It paddles faster, tracks straighter, and still carves. 7'8" to 8'10".

The hull
Displacement rather than planing — the core change from the Performance board. It gets up to speed with less effort and holds a straight line without needing the old length. That counts most on the last pop-up of a run, when you're digging deep and there's not much left.
Shape, rails and deck
Shorter per liter than the Performance board, and with the Forward Geometry foil tracks it lays snappy S-turns all the way down the run instead of just running straight. More rounded rails and softer chines keep it steady enough to put full power into the paddle. The flatter deck gives a wider standing area — room to move your feet where you want them at speed.
Construction
Two i-beam carbon stringers, top to bottom, with the proprietary carbon fiber foil tracks keyed into their fibers. The board doesn't flex where you don't want it to.
