The X-WING sits above the XPS Mk II: more aspect, a thinner leading edge, and an Ultra PE X-Ply airframe of around 2 kg against roughly 3 kg for the XPS Mk II. Powered up, that turns into speed and glide — Armstrong points at 12 to 18 knots. Nine sizes, 2.5 to 6.5 m². It ships without handles: the X-WING rides on the DYNA-LINK Boom, ordered separately and sized to your wing.

What the aspect buys you
Power builds progressively instead of arriving all at once, so the wing stays connected to what you are doing with it. Ride it powered and it converts that into speed, glide and control, with 12 to 18 knots the part of the wind range Armstrong singles out. It is not the wing you pick for the bottom end — that is still the XPS Mk II.

- Ultra PE X-Ply airframe: light, strong, fully waterproof, low stretch
- Around 2 kg, against roughly 3 kg for the XPS Mk II — most obvious in the big sizes
- An internal 50 x 50 polyester taffeta layer, an Ultra PE X-Ply reinforcement layer and a 0.25 film layer under a 100% Ultra PE woven outer fabric, spreading load and keeping tears from spreading
- Reduced leading edge diameter and more aspect for cleaner glide when powered
- Cross panel sail layout, carbon battens against trailing edge flutter, extra longitudinal panels for support
- Pink prints and four compact windows, for low light and busy water
