Surf Mk II Stabilizer
Designed alongside the MA Mk II front foil, the Surf Mk II Stabilizer boosts flow, control, and speed range across foiling disciplines. A mid aspect outline balances speed with pitch stability, and efficient wingtips recover cleanly when they breach the surface. It is built from premium pre-preg Toray carbon fiber, comes in 130 cm², 170 cm², and 200 cm², and fits both the A+ System and the Alloy System.

Design & construction
Stabilizers absorb extreme torsional and bending loads, so Armstrong builds the Surf Mk II from premium pre-preg Toray high and intermediate modulus carbon fiber. The result is strong, stiff, and light, and the consistency of this material paired with Armstrong's manufacturing quality delivers dependable performance session after session.
The foil section shares its characteristics with the MA Mk II front foil: low takeoff speeds and a high top end. A mid aspect outline balances speed with pitch stability, and efficient wingtips deliver reliable ventilation recovery — when a tip breaches the surface, it re-engages instead of ending the ride.
Sizes
The Surf Mk II Stabilizer is available in three sizes, so there is an option for every style and condition:
- 130 cm²
- 170 cm²
- 200 cm²
Rides well with
The Surf Mk II was designed alongside the MA Mk II front foil and mirrors its outline and foil section characteristics, making it the natural stabilizer pairing for that wing. It is compatible with both the A+ System and the Alloy System, so it fits whichever Armstrong platform you already ride.
Who it's for
Foilers in any discipline who want more flow, more control, and a wider speed range from the back of their foil. If you have moved to the MA Mk II — or plan to — this is the matching tail. As an official Armstrong dealer, we run this generation of gear on our own tow sessions in Vila Nova de Milfontes, where guests ride Armstrong's newest equipment on the water.
